Support All FirstResponders Everyday Foundation

At SAFE Canada, we are dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of first responders. We are actively working to make the HEROE(s) Vault a reality—a mobile wellness hub that will provide accessible mental health resources and education. Our mission is to honor those who protect us by ensuring they receive the care they deserve. Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, and more resilient future.

HEROE(s) Brew: A Special Thank You to Our First Responders

HEROE(s) Brew is a community-driven initiative that offers free coffee to all uniformed RCMP, Police, Fire, and EMS personnel at all A&W Canada locations across Alberta starting on March 27, 2025. This initiative is our way of saying ‘thank you‘ for the hard work and dedication of our first responders who continuously serve and protect our communities.

Not only does HEROE(s) Brew show appreciation for first responders, but it also raises awareness about the importance of mental health. By participating, you’re helping SAFE Canada in its mission to build the HEROE(s) Vault, a mobile wellness unit that provides mental health services and support to those who give so much to our communities.

In addition to HEROE(s) Brew, we’ve partnered with GoodLife Fitness to offer a free 7-day pass to everyone! Whether you’re a first responder or a member of the community, you can take advantage by clicking the button below

About The Founders

SAFE Canada was started by Justin, Ted and Laura………. Need a paragraph summarizing how it was started and founders involvement etc

The Challenges They Face

First responders dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities, but the demands of their work can take a heavy toll on both their physical and mental health. At SAFE Canada, we are committed to raising awareness about these challenges and providing the support they need.

Mental Health Challenges

High Levels of Stress: First responders face life-and-death situations daily, leading to chronic stress and anxiety.

Trauma Exposure: Many experience repeated exposure to traumatic events, which can result in PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Stigma: Despite the growing conversation around mental health, stigma often prevents first responders from seeking help.

Did You Know?

44% of first responders report experiencing symptoms of burnout, depression, or PTSD.

1 in 4 first responders has considered suicide at some point in their career.

Physical Health Challenges

Intense Physical Demands: From carrying heavy equipment to working long hours in dangerous environments, first responders often put their bodies under immense strain.

Chronic Conditions: Many suffer from injuries, chronic pain, and conditions like hypertension due to the physical toll of their work.

Fatigue: Long shifts and irregular schedules can lead to sleep deprivation, further impacting their overall health.

Why They Need Our Support

First responders are the backbone of our communities, but they cannot continue to protect others without proper care and resources for themselves. SAFE Canada is here to change that through innovative initiatives like the HEROE(S) Vault, which brings mental and physical wellness directly to those who need it most.
